Terms of use

These terms cover freeroomplanner.com and the Free Room Planner chat plugin for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. By using either, you agree to them. Free Room Planner is run by Ben Shevlane in the United Kingdom; contact ben@freeroomplanner.com.

A free planning tool

Free Room Planner is free to use, with no account. It is for planning and visualising rooms. It is not professional design, surveying, architectural or building-regulations advice.

Check measurements before you rely on them

Plans are only as accurate as the measurements put into them, whether you enter them or an AI assistant does on your behalf. Furniture sizes come from typical product dimensions and real products vary. The planner warns about some problems, such as overlapping furniture or a door that hits something, but it does not check everything, including walkways, ceiling heights or local rules. Always measure the real room and the real furniture before you buy, build or order anything.

Using the chat plugin

• The assistant decides what to send to the plugin based on your conversation. Check the floor plan it shows you; you can rearrange it in the chat or open it in Free Room Planner.
• Rooms made with the plugin are saved with a link that anyone who has it can open, the same as plans shared from the website.
• To keep the service free and available for everyone, there are fair-use limits on how many rooms and changes can be made in a given time.

Fair use

Please don't use Free Room Planner to store anything unlawful or offensive in plan names or labels, to overload or attack the service, to scrape it in bulk, or to get around its limits. We may remove content or block use that does.

Your plans

Your plans are yours. By saving or sharing a plan you let us store it and show it to anyone with its link. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Availability

We aim to keep Free Room Planner running, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees. We may change features, limits or the plugin, or pause it, at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Free Room Planner is not liable for losses arising from relying on a plan, such as furniture that doesn't fit or work ordered from an inaccurate drawing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
